The depot was completed as part of a wider site redevelopment on a fully operational bus depot site. The 200-bus maintenance facility building includes enclosed bus-washing and fuelling, fully serviced maintenance workshop and MOT bays.

Ancillary office and workshop accommodation was integrated into the building catering for driver and engineering functions.

FirstGroup Global Headquarters was also located to this site with a new build office building and link to the existing Granite building which was repurposed as the new entrance.
