RATP Dev open new engineering workshop at their site in Harrow.
The facility consists of 3 no. “flatbed” maintenance bays which are to provide improved maintenance for the growing fleet of electric double decker buses and existing diesel fleet.
The project provided significant build challenges being within a fully operational depot and in close proximity to the Metropolitan line to the rear of the site, where night closures were coordinated.
Provision of electric charging both internally and externally was provided by RATP Dev’s preferred contractor and is a continuation of the depot electrification strategy.
