Aberdeen Depot EV Installation

Janus Architecture have revisited the First Bus depot in Aberdeen to assist with the installation of 24No EV Bus charging stations.

Originally opened in 2010, the project is one of the numerous Janus Architecture designed depots. The redevelopment of the live depot included the global headquarters office complex, a refurbished grade 2 listed office building, and a 200-bus regional bus depot with fully enclosed wash, fuel, maintenance and ATF testing facilities. See our original Case Study for further information.

As the demand for zero emission buses grows, the depot is adapting to suit and is now welcoming its first wave of all-electric vehicles. The new charging stations utilise 12No Heliox Rapid 150kW DC dual head chargers to allow simultaneous overnight charging of 24No Yutong E12 single decker electric buses.
